Main Course for Six People

The inspiration for this table setting comes from the set of implements for a green tea ceremony made by Aoki Mokubei in the early 19th century and included in the Great Japan Exhibition held at the Royal Academy in London in 1981-2. The group of 10 pieces is on the exhibition Table Manners: Contemporary international ceramics at the Crafts Council Gallery in London until 26 February 2006.
