Building a scaled-down replica of Krugersdorp's Paardekraal Monument, a gift from Krugersdorp to Graaff-Reinet on the occasion of the 200th birthday of Graaff-Reinet. The Paardekraal Monument commemorated the meeting of armed Boers in Krugersdorp in 1880, at which it was decided to rise against the British annexation of the South African Republic in 1877.
