The Star

Already while she was only a toddler, when ever her daddy played his
wind up gramophone, she would respond all baby-shaking rhythms to her
mummy's encouragement.
She took part in her primary school's concerts & loved every moment
of it. Later she became a member of a dancing class in the township
where she lived & because she had a nice singing voice started to
have formal lessons from a music teacher.
It went on from there even though she, in actual fact, earned her
daily bread working as a shop assistant. An opportunity came along
for her to have a try out in a talent contest. One thing lead to another.
First she performed in small night clubs. But she went for the big
times. Now, singing Lerner & Lowe, Gershuim, Steven Sondheim & who
ever else one can think of who is in big music, she entertains
audiences from Cape Town to London, Paris, Rio, Singapore, San
Francisco, where ever. Having started in a ghetto, today she travels
& sings & dances internationally. She's become a truly big name. Her
name is up in lights. She is a star.
