One thing political parties have in common at
election time is they promise all kinds of things.
"This will be a far better country if the so-&-so
party wins."
If you decide that it's your democratic right not
to vote, they say they can't force you, but it's a
shame wasting the vote. But if you vote & the
party that didn't have your backing wins there's
nothing you can do about it except to vote diffently
next time.
Or else you can wash your hands of the whole
matter & leave the country & go through the same
crap at election time again elsewhere in the world.
