Children think of me as a nasty, really evil character in a wonderful,
even though ridiculous story. They expect & even want me to be there. If
I am not I can imagine them saying the story is a lot of junk.
They need chills running up & down their spines & they even want the witch
to have a hard time so the story can end happily ever after.
But at times it's interesting the psychological attitudes expressed regarding the
tale. Some say the story creates a kind of inner release in young people
that is healthy. But one or two have said they wonder about Hitler & Himmler
& their Nazi cronies & that what kind of development effect the story of
Hansel & Gretel might have had on those types.
But maybe there is no cause for alarm. After all, I'm really only a character
in Grimm's Fairy Tales & these kinds of things don't happen in real life. Or
